Due to the increasing public concern over the spread of the Coronavirus identified as Covid-19, Auckland Sword and Shield are to adopt a new policy regarding attendance at the club while sick.
Our sport is one where we breathe heavily and sweat heavily in close proximity to each other. This carries an inherent risk given the spread pattern of Covid-19. As such, no person is to attend training at Auckland Sword and Shield if they are experiencing any symptoms of sickness *at all*. This includes runny nose, sore throat, headache, fever, chill, coughing or sneezing.
Any person displaying any symptoms of sickness will be asked to immediately leave training and go home. This is a zero tolerance policy and applies to any and all persons; members, guests, beginners, or chaperones.
This policy will be in-place and enforced until further notice from the club committee, which will not be until after the WHO or NZ Health has given an official all-clear for the current internationally rampant strain of Coronavirus.
